A busy half term

Date: 22nd Mar 2017 @ 2:12pm

What a lot we have packed into a very short half term. The science/book week on the book 'the first hippo on the moon' was full of whole school fun and excitement with lots being made and facts learnt.

We have then had some exciting visitors and activities. We had a visit from 2 paramedics which was great. We got to learn about how they help look after people's bodies and even got to meet big ted who was injured in the ambulance. The children learnt all about putting on bandages and slings and tried it out on each other.

Next we had a visit from the vet. Bollington bear got microchipped so he can never get lost and we got to try out our own vetinary techniques on the toy dog.

We have been looking at healthy eating and designed our own breakfast smoothies. We then made the smoothies and talked about how they tasted. Miss Lawrence then made a fruit smoothie and we had to use our sense of taste to identify the fruits she'd used.
