Fox Howl Wednesday 29th April

Date: 31st Mar 2017 @ 12:00pm

We have had a busy day here at Fox Howl. We have done an orienteering activity around the centre which has helped us find our way around. After lunch we set out in to the forest with NIck, the ranger and built dens out of sticks and pine needles, then back to the centre for snacks and drinks before settin off again with our nets to go stream dipping. No fish to be found, but lots of stream creatures such as mayfly nymphs.

After a busy day we were certainly ready for tea when we arrived back at Fox Howl. Sausage & chips or pasta bolognaise was eagerly devoured, followed by chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce or jelly and fruit,

Then just enough time to chill out for a while before our campfire with toasted marshmallows.

Sadly the badgers came too late for the children to watch them, but we did manage to record them as they ate all our left-over teatime scraps!
