France 2019

Date: 6th Mar 2019 @ 7:19pm

Our first day ... Our journey down to Dover was amazing no sooner than the lights went out and the curtains were drawn everyone was asleep ( yippee ) in fact a couple never woke again until Dover. We managed to get an earlier crossing and the journey was really good as was breakfast! As we were early we had time to see everything in Naussica ...we loved it . Our town trail was a bit damp but it was good to compare a town in uk and France. Our bus drivers Ken and David are great (David an ex history teacher is being our guide tomorrow inYpres ) and they are planning little detours for us to see interesting places. Everyone ate well tonight - there is a shortage of baguette now as it was very popular as was the sugar doughnut !  We are now having a workshop on world war 1 and then going to bed ...ALL the children have been great and are thoroughly enjoying themselves tears or upsets really looking forward to a good sleep and a busy day tomorrow.
