St Marys Parish church visit

Date: 13th Jul 2015 @ 3:13pm

On Friday 10th July we had a fantastic visit to St Mary's Parish church. We set off in 4 cars and headed up to Rostherne. We were met by Phillip and some lovely people from the church there. The children were incredibly excited but also very well behaved.

To begin we were introduced to everyone and then began our Godly plays service with a song.

Then Will took the cross and led us into the chapel for our storytelling session. We listened to the story of Joseph and his coat. It was a wonderful atmosphere and the children demonstrated how well behaved they are in Phillips sessions even in a different environment. We even met Mr Tiggs the cat.

We enjoyed a delicious feast and the went back to the pews for 2 more songs with instruments.

Our last activity was a craft session and we made a Joseph with his coat on.

Before we left we had a look at the stained glass windows and went out side the church to look around.

I couldn't have been more proud of the way the children behaved and the respect they showed in the church.
