Date: 29th Apr 2019 @ 5:48pm

Evening all!

We arrived safely at around 11:30 this morning and settled ourselves in, found our dorms and had some lunch before setting off down to the beach for a good explore and to play some team games. The weather has been beautiful so far and made for a lovely afternoon. We’ve just had a good walk back to the centre (we’ve got some very tired legs already!) and are now having a good look around the grounds outside before having our tea at around 6pm. Will give a further update a little this evening 👍

So the end of the first day is here! For tea tonight we had chicken burger, chips and beans with sponge cake and custard for our pudding...all well received after a long day! We’ve been out and had a good explore of the grounds, played a bit of football and even found time for a bit of tree climbing! To finish off our first day we have had a bit of a disco with a wide selection of tunes...including some from “the olden days”...thanks Sophie! Everyone now in their dorms and heading swiftly towards the land of nod 😁 Night all, Mr O.

Tuesday 9:25am

Morning all! So we are up and have had a great nights sleep, some of us were even asleep before 10pm last night and some of us slept so well we had to be woken up in time for breakfast! We’ve had a good hearty breakfast of sausage, scrambled egg, beans, hash brown and toast. We have had a little play outside are now just about to start our mini medics course.

Evening everyone! What a busy day so far! Mini medics was great this morning and we’ve all learnt about what to do in an emergency and how to give cpr if we ever need to. We also learnt about how to access and use a defibrillator if someone is in trouble. This afternoon we have been on our visit to Trearddur Bay Lifeboat station. This was really interesting and we were able to put our new medical knowledge to good use as we could see how we could use it to contact the coastguard if we need them.

We are just settling down for our tea of pizza and wedges before heading out to do some crabbing later on!

Tonight we went for a walk down to the estuary to do a little bit of crabbing. We had to have our super dooper eyes on as they were very hard to spot however we did manage to find a few of them! The weather has been a little but mixed today with a bit of cloud and the odd spot of rain. To finish tonight off we had a big general knowlegde quiz...well done to India and Halle!

The sea air and busy day has definitely had a good impact...everyone asleep before 9:45pm tonight! Boom! ðŸ˜

Wednesday 9:30am

Good morning! Batteries recharged after a great sleep! Pancakes, cereal and toast for breakfast, perfect fuel for tackling some orienteering around the grounds in a little while! Dorms are all cleared and cases packed ready for returning home after lunch.

Lunch has been had...cases are packed and loaded and we are now getting ready for our return with some tired children! See you all soon! Mr. O

Well done team! A great residential where you’ve all worked hard and had a great time! Have a good sleep tonight and I’ll see you in the morning!
