Wednesday 25th January 2017 - Key Stage 2 Indoor Athletics Festival @ Lymm High School.

Tonight we took part in our local indoor athletics festival. It was a long event but everyone was fantastic throughout and showed a great togetherness and supported each other massively. We did incredibly well overall, despite finishing in 6th place, as we had several children from year 3 and 4 competing against other year 6 children and held their own very well. Special mentions to James L for some fantastic sprinting doing year 3 proud! To Callum for throwing the furthest of anyone in the entire tournament in the javelin and to Ella/Emily/Callum and Max A for winning both the boys and girls long distance running events.

Monday 23rd January 2017 - Yr 3/4 Volleyball Tournament @Lymm High School.

Tonight we took part in our first ever Volleyball tournament. It was a new experience for all of us and we were able to adapt our gameplay well. We played 4 games in total, winning 2 of them. Special mention to Teddy who had one of the best serves in the entire tournament - plenty of points were gained from them!

Monday 28th November - KS2 Girls Football @ Lymm High School.

Tonight we particiapted in the Lymm Cluster Girls Football Tournament. It is the first time in many years that we have been able to take part and the whole team did a fantastic job. After a little bit of confusion in the first game about where to stand and what to do, we performed brilliantly! In total we played 5 games, Winning 2, drawing 2 and only losing 1 which meant that we finished the night as runners up! A great effrot by all of the girls who all encouraged and motivated each other even when we faced some tough opponents...and weather!

Monday 14th November - Yr5/6 Indoor Netball @ Lymm High School.

Tonight we took part in our first Netball tournament of the year. All of the team played really well and just got better and better as each game went on. Again the encouragement and support of each other was great to see and really helped us on our way to VICTORY!!! It was a really close tournament however our team have secured our first tournament win of the year, well done to Callum, Liam, Archie, Ella, Olivia, Ruby and Emily.

Wednesday 2nd November - ESFA Small School Football Tournament @ Priestley College.

This afternoon we went to Priestley College in Warrington to take part in the ESFA Small School Football Tournament. The afternoon was a well fought affair from all schools involved and was extremely close at the end. Throughout all of the matches our team competed fiercely and produed some great displays. Special mentions go out to Emily for notching a total of 6 goals, Max A for an outstanding performance in defence alongside Eric and to Archie for his goal, that can only be described as "a worldly". In the end we just missed out on the progressing to the finals with the final kick of the last match, finishing in 3rd position. Well done to all of the team who took part.

Wednesday 12th October - Yr3/4 Warrington Wolves Touch Rugby Festival @ Lymm Rugby Union Club.

Today we have been to the Warrington Wolves rugby festival to play against schools from the Lymm Cluster and other nearby schools. It was a fabulous day with over 300 children taking part in games throughout the day. The festival was to celebrate the great work completed by the children during their sessions with Jack who has been in school this term delivering our rugby. We played really well and were getting better as the games went on with all of the children supporting each other. Special mention to James for some fantastic tackling and to Samuel for his amazing try...nobody was going to catch him!

Monday 10th October - Year 3/4 Football @ Lymm High School.

Tonight our Yr3/4 football team went and took part in the latest cluster event. The competition was a great success and the children all worked well together. It was a lovely evening to be playing football and some of the play was just as bright as the sunshine! Special mentions to Teddy who played really well in goal and to Owen who took his goals really well and helped us to a couple of wins. Well done everyone.

Monday 3rd October - Key Stage 1 Football Tournament @ Lymm High School.

Tonight we took some of our children from classes 1 and 2 to take part in the key stage 1 football tournament. It was the first time that some of the team had ever represented our school in such a tournament and they did an amazing job! The team spirit and encouragement from them all was lovely to see and was also commented on by staff from other schools. We got better and better as the games went on and we ended up winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 3. All of the children had a great time and really enjoyed the experience despite a little bit of nerves before we started!

Monday 26th September - Yr 3/4 Tag Rugby @ Lymm High School.

Tonight we took some of our year 3/4 children to take part in the rugby festival. It was the first time that some of our children had represented our school in such a competition and they all did a great job. We improved after each game, encouraged one another even when the games were very challenging however the children all enjoyed the experience playing games against all of the other schools. Well done to all of the children who took part and a special well done to Daniel for his try scoring whilst lying on his back and stretching above his head to score!

Monday 19th September - Yr 5/6 Tag Rugby @ Lymm High School.

This evening we took part in the Lymm Cluster Tag Rugby Festival and played against all of the other schools in our cluster. It was a fablulous effort from the whole of the squad who worked well together as a team and produced some excellent rugby. Throughout the games we won 5, drew 2 and only narrowly lost 1 game meaning that we finished 4th overall, just missing out on 3rd place by a single point. A great effort by the whole team and a fabulous start to our sporting competitions.
